We can either give you a firm bid or charge by the hour. Our rates are $40/hour for handyman work such as wall repairs, making old windows work, changing electrical switches, carpentry, etc. Electrical and plumbing repairs (not requiring permits or licensed electricians) are billed at $80/hour. An extra 20% supervision fee may be added to some projects as well. We DO NOT charge to estimate the job, we DO NOT charge a minimum just to come out, we charge only for work done.
An example of some our fixed charges are:
- Remove and replace garbage disposal $75 (labor only, same type, with plumbing in good condition)
- Remove and replace toilet $95 (labor only, with solid floor and plumbing in good condition)
- Service FAU (forced air heating system) $75 (includes cleaning/changing filters, cleaning return plenum and fan area, and cleaning circulating fan blades) for electric and gas fired heaters only (does not inlcude new filter). Electronic filters slightly higher.
- Clean gutters 75 cents per foot (minimum charge $75)
