Q. Who is Seward Park Repairs?
A. Seward Park Repairs is a full service home repair, improvement and maintenance company. We specialize in projects around your home ranging from general repairs to complete remodels. There is no job too small for our professional craftsmen. As a general contractor, we use are employees as well as subcontractors depending on the job.
Q. Who is sent to my house to do the work?
A. A Seward Park Repairs craftsman will show up at your home in a uniform with his own tools. Our craftsmen are licensed, bonded and insured as well as skilled and experienced for all of your home projects. We will show up on time and ready to work!
Q. How do you charge?
A. At Seward Park Repairs you have 2 options. We can either give you a firm bid, or charge by the hour. We have a one hour minimum and thereafter you are billed in 15 minute increments. This is to ensure you are only charged for the time you use. See our Pricing Page for details.
Q. Can I get an estimate or price quote for my job?
A. Yes, at Seward Park Repairs we work on a time and materials pricing basis as well as a contracted price. On a time basis, you are charged only for the actual time worked and materials purchased.
Though most companies do not allow it, Seward Park Repairs will advise you on materials to buy and help you make a shopping list so you can buy your materials and do not have to pay us for shopping time or warranty markup (or supplies) needed for your project.
The advantage of this method is that it is the least costly and fastest way to have many small to medium sized projects done. Also, it is easy to expand your to-do list without changing any contracts. The disadvantage is that you do not a have a firm price up front, but rather an approximate time frame.
If you give us a call, however, we can give you an idea of how long your task may take. We recommend that you go ahead and schedule a one-hour visit for our craftsman to come out and take care of some of the items on your current to-do list, and at the same time our craftsman can answer any additional questions you may have on larger projects around your home.
Q. What are my payment options?
A. We bill you when the job is complete and can make payment options available to you. We currently do not accept credit cards.
Q. How can I schedule an appointment with Seward Park Repairs?
A. Scheduling an appointment with Seward Park Repairs is easy. You can either call us direct (206-226-4664), or you can send us an email via our Contact Form. Generally, we can get most jobs on the schedule within 2-3 days of your call!
Q. Special materials or items need to be purchased for my job. How would this work?
A. Once in your home your craftsman can provide you a list of materials that you can purchase yourself. As an alternative, our professional craftsmen can purchase materials on your behalf.
Q. Does Seward Park Repairs have a guarantee?
A. Yes, we guarantee all labor and materials, if we purchase them for you, for up to one year after the job is completed. Please see Our Guarantee Page for more information.
Q. Tell me about the “free home inspection.” How do you make a profit from this?
A. We don’t make a profit from this free service. Our goal is to build a long term relationship with our clients in the Seward Park area. We want to work with you to identify potential problems in your home and also tell you what areas DO NOT NEED WORK. This better helps you plan for the future within your budget. Too often we hear of clients being pressured into repairs that were not needed. You’ll know about your house and what it needs from us. Don’t allow “emergencies” to just happen. Plan ahead and save money. We enter your homes repair and maintenance needs in our data base and remind you when items may be needed. You decide what you want and when you want things done.
